Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
At ImageMagicTool (imagemagictool.com), protecting the privacy of your photos and documents is foundational to how our tools are engineered. This Privacy Policy explains how your images are handled locally on your device, what limited technical data may be collected with your consent, and how you can control your privacy preferences at any time.
1. 100% Browser-Local Image Processing (No Uploads)
All image operations on ImageMagicTool—including resizing, cropping, format conversion, and target-KB compression—are performed entirely inside your web browser using client-side JavaScript and HTML5 Canvas.
Your images never leave your device. We do not upload, transmit, inspect, or store your image files on our servers at any point during or after processing. Temporary browser memory (object URLs) created while previewing or downloading your processed files stays local to your browser tab and is released when you reset the tool or close the page.
2. Information You Voluntarily Provide
You do not need to register or provide personal information to use any tool on ImageMagicTool. If you contact us directly by email at contact@imagemagictool.com, we receive your email address and the contents of your message solely to respond to your inquiry and provide support.
3. Consent-Based Analytics & Event Privacy Boundary
With your explicit permission via our privacy banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (`G-YB95BHNB1Q`) to understand aggregate page visits and whether our browser tools complete tasks reliably.
- What is never collected: Our analytics integration enforces a strict Event Privacy Boundary. We never send filenames, exact byte sizes, pixel or centimeter dimensions, image contents, blob/data URLs, or raw error messages to Google Analytics.
- What is measured when consented: Sanitized page paths (with query strings and fragments removed), tool identifier, coarse operation type (`resize`, `crop_resize`, `compress`, `convert`), output format category, preset name, target size bucket, and coarse completion status (`succeeded`, `target_met`, `target_unmet`, `failed`).
- Configuration safeguards: Google Signals and ad personalization signals are disabled in our analytics configuration, User-ID tracking is not used, and analytics collection remains off until you choose “Allow Analytics.”
You can review, grant, decline, or withdraw your analytics consent at any time using the control here or in the website footer. Declining or blocking analytics never restricts your ability to use any image tool.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser local storage to remember your theme preference (light/dark mode) and your privacy consent choice (`imt_analytics_consent_v1`). If you grant analytics consent, Google Analytics sets first-party measurement cookies (`_ga` and `_ga_*`) to distinguish aggregate sessions. When you withdraw consent, we disable analytics storage and clear these measurement cookies.
5. Advertising & Google AdSense
We may display advertisements through Google AdSense to keep ImageMagicTool free. Where advertising is active, Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites, subject to applicable regional consent requirements (such as Google Privacy & messaging controls where required by law). You can learn more about how Google uses data in advertising and manage your ad settings at Google Advertising Policies.
6. Standard Web Server Logs
Like all static websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard HTTP request metadata when your browser fetches a webpage (such as IP address, browser user-agent, timestamp, and requested page path) for security, abuse prevention, and operational reliability. Because image processing runs entirely in your browser, these server logs never contain your images.
7. Children's Privacy
ImageMagicTool is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory updates. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
